General Rental and Cancellation Conditions, Insurance and Deductibles
Art. 1
Ski, snowboard or bicycle equipment rented is under the full responsibility of the customer as soon as it is collected. Failure to return the rented equipment, for any reason whatsoever, will result in the customer being charged the full new replacement value at the public retail price, in addition to the rental cost.
Art. 2
All equipment offered for rental is acknowledged to be taken in good condition and must be returned as such. As the equipment is numbered or marked, it must be returned with the same numbers and brand. Any damage, regardless of the cause, will result, in addition to the rental cost, in payment of repair or replacement costs, up to a maximum of the new replacement value of the equipment.
Art. 3
The rented equipment is intended solely for the customer's use, with no possibility of subletting or lending, even free of charge. The customer is solely responsible for assessing their ability to use the rented equipment.
Art. 4
When signing the ski, snowboard or bicycle rental contract, the customer may opt for coverage against damage, loss or theft by paying a supplement defined according to the current price list.
This option exempts the customer, subject to the deductible remaining payable by them, from the obligation to reimburse in the event of damage, loss or theft of the rented equipment. In the latter two cases, official proof of loss or theft must be provided. This exemption always remains subject to the deductible displayed at the checkout.
To activate this coverage, the customer must:
- In the event of theft: provide the shop within 24 hours with the original police report issued by the police or gendarmerie.
- In the event of breakage: return the damaged equipment to Pré la Joux Sport shop; it must be identifiable and complete.
Art. 5
The rental period begins on the day the equipment is collected and ends on the day it is returned, inclusive. Any rental day is fully payable at the publicly displayed rates and conditions for any equipment collected before 3:30 pm or returned after 10:00 am (excluding Internet and prepaid offers).
Art. 6
An identity document may be required before handing over the rented equipment, as well as the information referred to in Article 7. Failure to comply with these requirements will prevent the rental from being completed.
Art. 7
In the event of non-payment of the rental cost, repair costs, or reimbursement due at the end of the contract, the customer, by previously providing their bank card number and expiry date, expressly authorizes the shop to debit from their bank account the amounts remaining due, in accordance with the quotation (rental contract) signed by the customer at the time of equipment collection and/or the prices and conditions displayed in the shop.
Art. 8
The information requested at the time of rental allows us to better know our customers. It is mandatory to answer all questions unless it is stated that the response is optional. The information concerning you is intended exclusively for the rental provider. You have the right to access, modify, rectify or delete your personal data (Article 34 of the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978). To exercise this right, please contact the rental provider.
Art. 9
Rental payments must be made in advance and are non-refundable, except upon presentation of a medical certificate.
Art. 10
In the event of any dispute relating to this contract, the competent court shall be that of the place where the rented equipment is made available.
